Anybody else feel like the week is draaaaging on? Any who, Happy Wednesday people!! As June is flying by, its time to think about Father’s Day and all that it entails. Ah, feels like just yesterday I was breaking the bank for my wonderful mom;) Mom’s are so easy to get gifts for… it may just be a women thing because there is so much we can spend on: skincare, beauty, home goods, jewelry, clothing…. the limit does not exist. But fathers, lemme tell you, they are tough to buy for.
As you know I talked about my Mom a bit during the Mother’s Day post (and Sus will be making another appearance soon 🙂 ). Its time to tell you a bit about my Dad. The man, the myth, the legend- Chris Doran. The most selfless man I have ever met, extremely hardworking, and will put his family above everything- he’s truly the best and one of my favorite people in the world. He also was one of the very few people who supported and embraced my outrageously awkward phase in 5th grade. He was everybody’s favorite lacrosse, soccer, and basketball coach, and always traveled with me or my siblings to our sport’s events. My dad has given us the love for fishing (#saltlife), and accidentally got my brother and I wired on Red Bull at the age of 11- my mom is still mad about that LOL. My Dad will always be the one I go to for support, advice, and backup when no one else think’s my one-liners are funny.
While my Dad is the bomb.com, he has one flaw. That flaw is that he is terrible at receiving gifts. Birthdays, Christmas, Father’s Day, he claims he “does not need anything” and is very picky with what he does receive (always checking the price because everything is simply “too much”). We have been working on his faces and reactions he makes while receiving gifts- he now knows to smile, which is a step in the right direction.
If your dad is anything like mine, you are in luck. I have crafted a fool proof gift guide for this Father’s Day. Whether they enjoy outdoor activities like golf and fishing, or if they are starting back up traveling for work- I’ve got you covered. Below are some ideas that any man will like, ranging in prices for everyone’s budget.
I hope you all get some gift inspiration for this Father’s Day and enjoy the holiday with your Dads or father-like figures in life! Dad, you are the best and deserve the world- thank you for being such a light and positive figure in my life, I love you!!!
