Although the Northwest is in a horrific heat wave (this humidity needs to go for the sake of all our hair), we are diving head deep into the fall season! One of my favorite things to buy in the fall are new pairs of everyday shoes that can be styled every which way. While we are seeing the classics like knee high boots and ankle booties come back to our favorite sites/stores, there are some old trend making a comeback that I am stoked about.
On today’s blog, I’ve compiled the 5 types of shoes you need in your wardrobe this fall. These shoes have it all; are they’re comfortable, stylish, and great basic pieces you can throw on throughout the fall season. Without further ado, lets get into the shoes you will be seeing a ton of this fall (maybe even in your closets ;)).
Flats
The biggest comeback I’m seeing pop up this fall are all things flat. Ballet flats have made a huge resurgence (with much help from the oh so stylish Sofia Richie), and the girls are going crazy for them. While the classic black or nude ballet flat a safe option, I’ve added a few styles that go beyond the norm, but still can be worn over and over.
Booties
What can I say, booties in the fall is like a big ole glass of wine at the end of the day… it just makes sense. While I’m sure you all have plenty of go-to booties that you can whip out from your fall/winter wardrobes, there are some here that add the slightest hint of “trendy” to what is a forever fall staple.
Knee High Boots
While we aren’t breaking out the knee-high boots just yet, it doesn’t hurt to do some browsing for when it is cool enough to wear these bad boys out. Same with the booties, knee-high boots will forever be the foundation of a fall shoe and will never go out of style. Above are some classics that are great investment pieces (without breaking the bank too much), as well as some fun heel/toe styles and colors to have a bit of variation within the shoe.
Sneakers
While sneakers are no new shoe to rock in the fall, if you’re like me and are wearing old dingy pairs from last year, it’s time to freshen up and snag a new pair. I’m a sucker for a plain white sneaker as they are so versatile, but find myself loving some color variations of the tried and true styles.
Loafers
Love them or hate them, loafers aren’t going anywhere! If you aren’t a fan of the clunkier styles, I’ve included some great “loafer-esque” variations that are perfect for a transitional shoe.
