Well well well, if it isn’t the lil brunette blogger who went on a year long blogging hiatus. And yes, I am referring to myself (time flies when you’re having fun lol!). I’m VERY excited to say that I’ll be back to posting on a regular basis *cue the applause*. Since we last spoke there has been a LOT of exciting events in my life, so let’s do a quick recap before I talk about where the direction of the blog will be going.
Ya girl is ENGAGED
A Gal’s Best Trend is tying the knot come summer 2024! It seems like the engagement day JUST happened, yet it has already been 5 months of engagement livin’. Boyfriend Joe has leveled up and is now fiancé Joe- and no better place to pop the question than on a sunny spring day in Philly! The entire day was exactly how I pictured, if not better. After Joe asked the oh so pressing question, we celebrated with our families and some of our closest friends even came into town to surprise me!
Now that I’ve entered my fiancée era, you’ll definitely be seeing some bridal/wedding content as we are just under 11 months out from the big day- crazy I know!!

Down Bad w/ The Travel Bug
I will be the first to admit, I’ll take any opportunity to travel, and this past year has been no different. Since my last post, I’ve been cross country, across the “pond”, and everywhere in between! Paris and London were the biggest travel destinations I was able to do last year- check out the AGBT insta for all posts from that trip (definitely itching to go back to Europe sooner rather than later. If you’re my sister or friend Maddy… hint hint 🙂 ). Aside from my European endeavors, I bopped around the states quite a bit and will keep that travel train going for the foreseeable future.
Paris during Christmas time was one of the most amazing trips I’ve experienced- spent many days roaming the Champs-Élysées, walking into every luxury store you can think of, and sipping on 20 too many cappuccinos.
Please remind me in my next life to come back living in London- the best city I’ve ever been too. We were lucky enough to come on a beautiful day with the most STUNNING sunset. Obsessed doesn’t even begin to explain.
The only thought going through my head at this very moment was trying to estimate how much this wall costs (and if they’d notice a Lady Dior were to go missing hehe). I’ve always been a fan of Dior but GOD did that museum blow me away.
If you know me you know my all time favorite artist is Adele. It only makes sense that I had to take my mom to go see her on the second to last weekend of her residency (or so we thought). It only makes even MORE sense that we are going to see her for round 2 in less than two weeks eek!!
I Moved!
Fiancé Joe and I are all moved into our first apartment together and the home decor is in full swing. I now understand that growing up is learning just how much everything costs nowadays, so I will be channeling my inner DIY persona to make our place feel like home.
No pictures of the place just yet, but I plan on sharing updates on decorating the place and all things home decor/organization moving forward. I will say my love for home decor is nothing like my love for fashion, but I’ll try my darndest to give this place a glow up 🙂
What’s Next for AGBT?
As you can probably tell from my word vomit above, there are SO many events/exciting things happening in the upcoming year- while the blog is still mainly going to focus on fashion, beauty, and bits of travel, you will definitely be seeing some more home decor blogs, as well as bridal content on top of AGBT’s regular posts. I am so excited to get back on here and share all things trendy with you in the near future. Next blog post up later this week- Cheers!!!
