And just like that, tomorrow is the OFFICIAL first day of fall, AKA the best time of the year! As sweet as summertime is, I am so excited to transition into the season. Fall candles have been lit, pumpkin creamer is on a constant rotation for coffee, and Gilmore Girls is playing nonstop. Fall has and will always be my favorite time of the year; its a kickstart to the holidays, my birthday season, has the best weather, and in my opinion, the best fashion.
I have been starting to send in some online orders for fall pieces, but I have been holding off until the temperature starts to drop. However, now that it is ~officially~ fall and we are getting towards those 60 degree days (yay!), its time to drop the AGBT fall look book *cue the applause*. To kickoff the best season of the year, I have styled five different looks that will fit any type of event. From a causal coffee date, to running errands, or a night out, these five looks got you covered. The best part is, almost everything I have selected is almost fully in stock (if not completely) and budget friendly. Some of the more expensive pieces ($100+) are pieces that I would recommend to invest in, as they would be fall staples in your wardrobe this year.
LEGALLY BRUNETTE
One of the trends I am most excited about this year is the vintage preppy look and brown pieces. Every single blazer (and their mother) that I like is basically sold out, but this beauty is completely in stock on Zara’s website. I picture me wearing this to a lunch, coffee date, or if I did have to go to work and it was business casual. All of the pieces can be worn in so many other ways too which makes all of these great closet staples. Also please a moment of silence for that bag…. a brown BEAUTY.
THE BOLD BEAUTY
I absolutely love mixing edgy pieces with girly / dainty accessories. This dress is perfect for transitioning into the colder weather, but you can get away with it if its a little hot out since it is a lighter fa. I paired this dress with an edgier bag and pair of boots. To light and dainty pearl pieces will compliment the black nicely. I have that MJ snapshot bag in a different color and am seriously considering this all black one….
(maybe a bday gift idea @mom @bf @sister 🙂 ).
DOWNTOWN GIRL
I am now a weekend resident in Philly due to my boyfriend, sister, and friend all moving into the city this month. That calls for cute going out fits so I can pop off while drinking my Ranchwaters and Vodka Crans (obvs). As we know leather is very in this fall, I wanted to find a pair of bottoms that are a bit different than what I’ve been seeing all over my social media. These pair from Nordstrom have slits at the bottom, perfect to pair with a chunkier boot. If you love the Pillow Tabby bag fro Coach like I do, this Zara one is a great dupe for that and the Pillow Marc Jacobs bag. For chillier nights, pairing this cropped tee with a shacket will completely round out the look. I do have the platform boots and they are insanely comfortably- they also have them in black on Nordstrom’s site for super cheap! Obsessed, and am buying all of these pieces.
COMFY CUTIE
Lets not kid ourselves, as much as I strive to be put together and wear cute looks all of fall, the majority of my workdays may very well be spent in leisure wear with my hair in a big, fat, ~frizzy~ bun. However, we can make comfy look cute! I am addicted to oversized crewnecks, so addicted that an entire drawer and storage bin in my room is dedicated to them. My go-to dip is whenever I want to dress up a casual leisure look, Ill just deck it out with accessories. Going with the silver hardware on the fanny pack, I paired that with silver rings and bubble hoops. Adding some color to this, these claw clips which are all of TikTok can be bought on Amazon for super cheap. Finally, the Nike vintage mid blazers are a must. I have them with a black swoosh, but love this deep red for fall and winter.
DATE NIGHT DARLING
Last but not least, a foolproof date night look. Every weekend I look forward to my date nights with my boyfriend (hi boyfriend 😉 ). It gives me an excuse to dress up, even if we are going somewhere casual, I like to look the part. This dress from Abercrombie is everything I want in a dress. The slit will elongate the legs a bit and the mock neck is perfect for fall, as it gives that illusion a higher neck without making you sweat your tots off. As the dress and boots are pretty plain, I thought it would be fun to pair a dark green bag with it and experiment with the jewelry. All the jewelry is from BaubleBar at great prices for the quality. The evil eyes are so on trend, (especially for spooky season!) and that tiny hue of green in the outer gems matches the bag perfectly! This dress does come in some other muted colors, but I personally liked this the best for fall and it has almost every size in stock. If it does get chilly at night, I would pair this with some sheer black tights and either a black denim jacket, a blazer, or to add some more texture,a faux fur number.
Again, I am SO excited for the official start to fall. A new season is always so refreshing, both for style and mindset. With a ton of exciting events coming up, I can’t wait to use this look book as reference and inspiration to style my fall outfits. There are also so many pieces I wasn’t even able to fit into this post, so be on the lookout for more fall style boards and my favorite trends of the season. I hope you got some style inspiration for this fall; as always, thank you for supporting AGBT and HAPPY FALL! – xoxo, Kelly
